ICONIC brand Peugeot has revealed its brand new 3008 SUV to much fanfare at a gala event held in Paris on Monday night, with an electric scooter part of the rather odd inclusions list for the new model.
The French car maker will launch a range of firsts with its new 3008, including the first SUV built on our highly applauded EMP2, the first Peugeot to feature a wireless charging dock, the first to feature a scooter (we’re really not kidding, there’s a scooter in the boot), and the first to feature the next generation i-Cockpit interior.
Presented with the opportunity to design and engineer the new 3008 from the ground up, engineers refined the 3008’s focus to that of the SUV segment, with the aim of delivering a modern, sleek and intelligently packaged SUV. For the global brand, it represents a new proposition for the small SUV segment, with a new platform, new design and new drive trains.
The Peugeot 3008 is due for Australian introduction in 2017, with final specification and pricing confirmed closer to launch.
