IT was four from four for Yamaha at the 2015 MX Nationals at South Western Sydney’s Appin Raceway at the weekend, with a dominant display from the Japanese manufacturer, which saw wins in each of four classes, and seven moto (heat) wins out of eight races.
In a day of near complete domination, Yamaha won all four of the classes, with Kade Mosig locked down the win in the premier MX1 class, while Luke Clout nailed the win in MX2, Wilson Todd took the round win in the Under 19 category (MXD), and Hunter Lawrence claimed victory in the MX Rookies.
On top of the outstanding overall results, moto wins were also dominated by Yamaha. In the two race format, the CDR pair of Kade Mosig and Daniel Reardon each claimed a moto win. MX2 saw Luke Clout and Yamaha supported Jay Wilson trade race wins, Wilson Todd won the final moto in the MXD class, while Hunter Lawrence won both races conducted in the MXR class.
In the championship standings, Yamaha now leads the MX2, MXD and MXR points chase and sits second in the MX1 division.
“What an amazing day for Yamaha and our race teams,” Motorsport Manager, Ray Howard said. “Each of the teams and riders put their best foot forward today and it was a huge reward for all our teams to get such fantastic results after all the hard work that has been done in the off season.”
